You know, I think I ditch my work too readily. A friend of mine has wisely said that the first draft of a piece is only 25% of the effort required, and in my experience that is essentially true. It's easier to lose one's charge when not generating new word count, because I don't find the revision process as exciting as the initial creation.
Maybe that's why I was stressing out over how long Darkweave Bloodwolf (working title!) is going to be, and when I'm going to finish it. I want to finish up a novella by the time I get to World Fantasy.
However, it was only today that I realized I've actually got a finished novella that just needs a little polish and will be ready to go.
Time to change gears.
